Baby Toes

Don't you just love the feel and smell of a new baby? Those tiny toes and fat little thighs! mmmmm yummy.
Yep we are getting one... well not actually moi, but my sister is going to be a Meme and I will be a great aunt. We all know I am already the greatest aunt, but now I can actually be a great aunt.

My nephew, the new "uncle to be" used to call me Aunt TT. In the south we all know that TT means to PP or tinkle. So while they new blessed event will take place in Texas, there will be no Aunt TT anymore. The baby must call me - drumroll please... "NeneP. " you get it - short for queenieP. Yep thats the name for moi.

I have always informed the kids that one of them will need to name a baby "Sloane". Can't you just see that on a birth announcement in beautiful scroll font?? See it huh? Then just think about the wedding announcement! So I have named the baby Sloane Kathleen- the middle name is of course after moi! BUT, no one likes my name :( they all laugh at it. So whatever they decide to name the baby... I will call it ..... hmmmm

Now- I have so much to do before the blessed event happens. My sister has not one creative bone in her body, so that leaves moi to be the creative one. I recently cut up our old wedding dress... no one was ever going to wear it and I am making 4 baby blankets! yippee I better get started. Oh, my mind is spinning, and this is just the great niece/nephew. Look out when I become a real NeneP.

Happy New Year.
Congrats to Kris and Nolan--- Baby Sloane will be a blessing to you both! hehehehe

Good bye 2009....

What a great Christmas we had at the house.
Snow, food, fireplace, snoozing and visiting!

Our mission trip was canceled because of the weather- too cold to work outside and more icy weather coming this way! The youth were sad, but its just not worth it to go and possibly get stuck or slide off the road. So, hubs and I are at home this week!!!!! I am making my mental list of honey-do jobs for him. I'm sure his list is, sit by the fireplace and watch movies! hmmmm.

Our 30th anniversary is coming up tomorrow. Wow, that sound like a long time! Well, I guess it is. Mike got me a beautiful set of pearls. Necklace, bracelet and earrings! love em. I got him a parcel of land in Ireland. Yep, he was very surprised. I found it on the internet and since he's of irish decent, this is perfect. Now we have to find time and $$$ to go over and see "our land". Since we are at home we will have to go eat and to the movies. Yummo. I think we will try Ted's. I didnt realize they had one in Tulsa. Im a bit slow!!!!

Have a good week, stay warm, be safe and for sure be careful on New Years. Have a designated driver !!!!

Heavenly Daze!

We are actually alive and kickin here in Cville. I have been busy doing I'm not sure what, but getting nothing done! Have you ever had one of those months. I am generally very structured and have my Christmas decs, out of the attic and the house decorated...even the bathrooms! WEll, this year is another story. The tree is out and has lights because they came on it. I put the tree in Lance's closet so it was easy to get. I threw some burlap webbing on it and some other stuff!
The rest of the house has candles, glass ornaments, snow and burlap or linen stuff that I could find in the house.... We have not even gone up i n the attic to get stuff. Hubs has offered, but I am not in the mood. Baaaaaah!

We finally gave the family photo's to all those we ordered to, so here ya go. The FAMILY. I love the pictures and want more, but holy moly at $80 for an 8x10 I have to go sell blood first!

This is hubs and I. I am really liken the green shawl. We had them taken at Dover Pond in Owasso. Beautiful

This is the whole family. Cut bunch huh. I made sure we had on white and jeans and then whatever else.
We are having Christmas here this year. We generally travel to Plano/Frisco, but Ryan is in Tulsa now- yippee and Lance lives in T-town too! So Christmas here. They have all ordered their favorites and we will have a calm great family time.
I have a part to get ready for, oh i almost forgot.... I went to get jeans at Goodwill for a mission trip and found the cayyyyyyutest boot. 1. brown Brighton with a cute buckly- $5.00, red Bass driving moccasins- $2.00 and lastly red cowboy boots- $5.00. NEVER BEEN WORN ALL OF THEM. The boots are red on the bottom and then have white on the top with a pony cut out!
I put them under the tree from myself, but I must wear them tonight!
Have a great week.

Monday, Monday

Isn't this a cute idea??? I have a LOT of old handkerchiefs from my Gram and Grandma. I h ave them in my linen closet, but I think I will do this. Even moi can quilt something like this.

Busy week... I have CASA court this afternoon and then family dinner tonight. Ryan leaves for Singapore at 4:00 am . yikes. Hubs will take him to the airport! Me- a kiss, a prayer and out the door!

Thanksgiving with the rest of us and start on the Christmas tree, and stuff. I have tons and tons of "stuff to create" in the craft room, so that will be a fun day. I have asked hubs for 4 mos to attach a cable to my TV in the craft room, not yet. Maybe I can figure it out. NOT! Maybe L can do it.

L has an MRI Tuesday am regarding hi shoulder! wah, I hate to see my boys have pain! We will know more after the surgeon looks at it.

Hub is gettin ready to begin building the shed. It will be a major undertaking as we over do everything. I house and surroundings WILL not blow over!

My sister and I will have a trip to OKC for a visit to Mom's. Its time to go see Grammer!

Thats about it for the fam this week.

Hope you and your have a BLESSED Thanksgiving!

Im being held hostage!

Yep, you heard me right! I am being held hostage.

It's not that I have changed directions, diagnosis, or anything else. I have attended this "event" for the past, oh say...35 ish years. I have had 2 babies, a tubal and 1 hysterectomy followed by ovary removal. So basically there is nothing there.... You know what I am talkin about. My OB/GYN is holding me hostage. He wont refill my hormones "that I have taken for 20 years", until I come in. I dont need to go every year. I think he needs to remodel the master bedroom in his house, yep thats it!

Tomorrow will not be my most favorite day of the year! I am not happy being held hostage. I'll show him I will quit taking them. Oops my family might not care for me in menopause, they barely like me now.
Oh whoa is me... whats a girl to do in this dilemma ?????

Allergies=Shot

Needles make me "throw up", sweat, get clammy, get a headache and I HATE THEM. However I have an earache, sore throat, and feel like yukko! The last shot I got for my allergies a year ago, made this crater like dent in my hiney! Do I want to do that again????

I just might have to go get a shot on Monday. I can't stand this stuff. Even the "netti pot" won't clear this up.

wah, wah, wah, I want my "momma," oops she was the one that gave me most of my shots.... I want my "sissy!"

Tuesday Tidbits

And I thought my kids were finished with "trick or treat".... hahahaha Aren't they cute! Well in the eyes of their Momma they are. The boys went to a Halloween Party on Saturday night. Ryan was Lt. Dangle, do you know that guy? He is on TV on some silly police show. It really is kinda funny. He's really "dumb". (Lt. Dangle, not Ryan.)
Lance is coach and Laura a cheerleader. Lance wore Gramps old shirt and found some "old" coaching shorts. Laura's Cowboy Cheerleader is cute on her. Silly funny kids. It looks like they had fun.

Me, I had a sinus issue and didnt even go to the football game. It was homecoming too. I was suppose to have lunch with my Momma and Rick on Sunday and didnt feel like getting out. My head was pounding and the sun didnt mix with that. I must have been really hurting, they went to Cheesecake Factory and I had a grilled cheese at home. :( :( :(

I am so ready for a freeze. Die you silly little organisms that cause my allergies!

By the way... whats up with KBEZ playing Christmas music already. They usually start on the day after Thanksgiving. They are messing with my head and I dont need any more issues. We generally go to "Lights On "at Utica Sq. and then ,the next day KBEZ starts "the music". They are making thunderstorms in my head.

I think I will start using a "Budget". I know thats a word I never use. I just roll with paying what we owe and then we have whats left over. I dont think my parents used a budget??? Anyway, I found www.pearbudget.com . You can use it free for 30 days. It tracks your spending and helps you know where that money went. I guess it will keep me from having Starbucks often. I will keep you posted on the 30 day experience. I do have all my Christmas finished, except for the stockings stuffers and a few little things.

Better go get dressed and off to Uptown for my roots to have their party!

Thursday Tidbits

I would really like to have this rug. Its so cute and would look darling in my entry hall for dirty boots and wet shoes this fall. I think it would be delightful, Only problem its $650. plus shipping for the UK. Holy Moly! Guess I can keep wishin, isn't that what dreams are for??

Yesterday was crazy. I am generally scheduled to be at CASA court on Thursday. Nope it was yesterday. The docket started at 9:30. my CASA case was no.2 . To make a long story short, the first witness was called at 1:30. HELLO, can they not tell time??? Anywho its being continues to 11/23. I will forget stuff by then. Thanks goodness I dont have to make any decisions.

Its been a rainy day here in Cville. I made a cute dress for a friends daughter. Pics later. A dog bed for Moey and did laundry. Hubs has a meeting tonight so I am gettin ready to throw something in the oven with my acorn squash. It sound healthy, but by the time I slap all that butter and brown sugar on it, wow we are talking calories! uh huh hmmmmm.

Last night I took Moey out to potty in the backyard, she found a frog, she was as scared as the frog. Speaking of animals and critters. We have had a mouse explosion in this house. I caught 5, yes 5 of them today. My bait of choice is bread. Smush it all up in the holder part of the trap thingy and set it under the sink. bam, bam, bam, bam there it goes!

I was invited to a "slumber party" tonight. I though ...on a weeknight. Well. darlin you are not sleeping at this one. Its "thingy's" for the boudoir. Just let you imagination go way down in the gutter and roll around for a while. I saw pictures of things in a catalog I didnt know what they were or what you do with them. I AM NOT going tonight, I have something else I have to do, but I don't think I want those visual images in my head. It might cause a thunderstorm.

Cant tell you what I doin tonight , hehehe-- momma, you want to know, cant tell you its a Christmas surprise, but one hint... 1. BFF Pam is going with me. thats it 1 hint.

Better go get my nutritious meal in the oven and co another mouse check under the sink.

Monday musings

I found this picture on KappaPrep blog, anyway I love the picture on the fireplace mantel! Do you?? I am thinking maybe I might just make me a smaller one.

We had a great weekend. Ryan moved to Tulsa and the house is quiet again. Well not really, Moey is here. My dining room is now a storage room and will be for another year...
We didnt use the room except for holidays.

I am looking at places to go for a quick Anniversary trip. I could wait and go to Ireland next spring or Im thinking Savannah after Christmas. Our anniv is Dec 29. Hmmmmmm whats a girl to do.

I have a ton of things to do this week, PEO, CE Class, Court /CASA case, ??? I cant say because my mom would know what she is getting for Christmas, clean the garage to get the cars in, tidy the house and vac, finish some crafting stuff and finish some things I started a few months ago. I need to go to OKC but the weekend is full of stuff too! Maybe next Mon-Tues?? Are you home Mom?

Have a great day, enjoy some cider and pumpkin bread with me in a few minutes.

I was scanning blogs this morning instead of doing the house chores and a blogger had Bubba's the other night. Oh my! This is the all time best chicken in the south! Its down by SMU in Dallas. In the summer its hotter than H*ll! But the chicken melts in your mouth. I wonder if they would FedX and overnight shipment of chicken, rolls, mashed potatoes and gravy.
I made some yummy pumpkin/chocolate chip muffin/cupcakes for tomorrow nights tail gate at TU. I am going to teach at New Haven tomorrow and the game is after work. So I am making some chili tonight and letting it simmer on low all day in hubs office. SO we will have chili, Frito's, cupcakes/muffins, tea, sweet tea! I hope the rain stops. I don't like watching anything in the rain.
Better get going this morning. I am helping Pam with a catering job, then going to see my little CASA girl at her daycare, then to staff meeting at New Haven and finally to my CASA girls foster home!. Oh yea and I need to go to Reasors to grab some chili fixins. Then home!

Sunday somethings

Yep, those Cowboys won a football game! Go Pokes!! You really really have to be a true Cowboy to follow OSU football, you never know if we are going to win or not. Yippee for this week

TU plays on Wednesday.... ESPN be sure to look for me! I will be wearing blue. hehehe!

Busy weekend- Ryan is much better. The Swine flu was derailed with Tamiflu and he will be back at work tomorrow. I didn't accomplish much this weekend. I was so cozy in the house, so I read a good book and drank hot cocoa.

Speaking of hot cocoa... I have gained 6 lbs since Aug. I will not be making any more bread, cookies, cupcakes, pumpkin/chocolate chip muffins! No more Starbucks Pumpkin Spice for me. Just straight coffee and toast for breakfast, 1/2 sandwich for lunch and a little supper. I fixed beef tips and noodles with a gigantic salad for lunch. No supper for me!

Have a great week and enjoy this cozy weather.

I cant trust people anymore!
Wednesday I was hit by a guy in Tulsa. He backed up and smashed the Jeep. He was to call me yesterday with his ins. info. No call! I called him this am and he pretended to be someone else with that new phone number- I am not stupid. I let him know that I filed a police report & he is in violation because he is refusing to give me his insurance and there are video cameras at the scene of the crash- by a BOK. I called his school- (an internationally know aeronautics school )and spoke with the VP of Students. Hmmmm the boy called back and said he was sorry and would pay out of pocket. Then his mother called and told me not to call his school again. As long as he pays for damages... I won't call. Lie to me again and I will come to the school.Moral to the story: Always call the police no matter whether they look nice or not, no matter if its a little fender bender or not. ALWAYS CALL THE POLICE. I did all of this without hubs. mmmmm proud of myself.

rain, rain and more rain

Its really a Fall day here in Cville. The rain is a beautiful little Fall rain. No thunder, which keeps Moey from barking like a psycho dog. But, it does make me want some hot cocoa and whipped cream.
I am having some eating issues. Since I had my parasite experience on the Ukraine Mission trip, my tummy has been weird. I can't always digest the simplest things, anyway lately I have been ravenous! I want to eat everything! I mean everything. My belly looks a bit pudgy! So, I am staying away from making banana bread with those old bananas, hot cocoa with whipped cream, cookies, cakes, pies, you know those pesky carbs. Well, today I am craving me some cards.

Son 1 is sick- yukko. He came home from work yesterday and has a temp of 101.7 this am.. We are off to the Dr. at 1:00. even though he 27, he's still my little boy- yes I am a helicopter mom!
He is moving out of our house in a week or two. He's been here since Feb. and I am going to really miss having him here. But he will be in Tulsa, not Frisco. He will be much closer to his job and his friends.

We took down the pool and gave it away. I didn't use it much this summer. So we might join the YMCA in Owasso. Oh, wait a minute... we have a treadmill, elliptical, weights etc right here at home. hmmmm I can think of another way to spend $700. per yr.

Time to go disinfect the kitchen. bathroom, son 1 's room etc.

Have a happy day and by all means Keep Strong and Carry On!

Ryan is sick and I went by Akins to get him some medicine/soup makings. A car in front of me began to turn, then decided he couldnt make it and began to back up. RIGHT SMACK INTO MY! Yep, I saw it coming, honked my horn, and bam he hit me. Poor New Jeep. Yep, ots only 5 months old and bam.

The girl in the other car thought everything looked good on the Jeep, not so much darlin, there is a scratch, dent and little holes in the bumper. It will be fixed!

NORTH: Also a physics major.
SOUTH: Also Miss America.

SOUTH: 5 months before the game you walk into the ticket office on
campus, put name on waiting list for tickets, then still have to camp out.

Friday Classes After a Thursday Night Game:
NORTH: Students and teachers not sure they're going to the game, because
they have classes on Friday
.
SOUTH: Teachers cancel Friday classes because they don't want to see the
few hungover students that might actually make it to class.

Game Day:
NORTH: A few students party in the dorm and watch ESPN on TV, wondering why "Game Day Live" is never broadcast from their campus.
SOUTH: Every student wakes up, has a beer for breakfast, and rushes over
to where ESPN is broadcasting "Game Day Live" to get on camera, cheer tirelessly, and wave banners
.

Tailgating:
NORTH: Raw meat on a grill, beer with lime in it, listening to
local radio station with truck tailgate down.
SOUTH: 30-foot custom pig-shaped smoker fires up at dawn. Cooking
accompanied by live performance by "Hootie and the Blowfish," who come
over during breaks and ask for a hit off bottle of bourbon. Televisions set up with satellite dishes so you don’t miss any football games shown that day.

Getting to the Stadium:
NORTH: You ask "Where's the stadium?"
When you find it, you walk right in.
SOUTH: When you're near it, you'll hear it. On game day it becomes the
state's third largest city.

Concessions:
NORTH: Drinks served in a paper cup filled to the top with soda.
SOUTH: Drinks served in a souvenir plastic cup, with the home team's mascot on
it, filled less than half way with soda, to ensure enough room for
bourbon.

When National Anthem is Played:
NORTH: Stands are less than half full,
and less than half of them stand up.
SOUTH: 100,000 fans, all standing, sing along in perfect four-part
harmony.

The Smell in the Air After the First Score:
NORTH: Nothing changes.
SOUTH: Fireworks, with a touch of bourbon.

Commentary {Male Fan}:
NORTH: "Nice play."
SOUTH: "Dammit, you slow sumbitch -tackle him and break his legs."

Commentary {Female Fan}:
NORTH: "My, this certainly is a violent sport."
SOUTH: "Dammit, you slow sumbitch - tackle him and break his legs."

Announcers:
NORTH: Neutral and paid.
SOUTH: Announcer harmonizes with the crowd in the fight song, with a tear in his eye because he is so proud of his team.

After the Game:
NORTH: The stadium is empty way before the game ends.
SOUTH: Another rack of ribs goes on the smoker. While somebody goes to
the nearest package store for more bourbon, planning begins for next
week's game.

Nothing else in the universe comes even halfway close to the
glories of Southern Football. ;-)

Saturday stuff

Its time for Saturday Football.

What else do you do on a wonderful, sunny, Fall, Southern Saturday??? You play NCAA Football.

!st game is the Alma Mater OK STATE- Go Pokes. We used to be at all the games, perfect section O tickets, fly over in the plane, and have a blast. We began going before the boys were born and then took them to the games once or twice each year. It was great to see the same people each year and see how their lives have changed. They watched as I was pregnant with both boys and until they were about 5 and 7. Then the boys began to have sports on Saturday's and we let those tickets go. I wonder how much to replace them now???

So advance 18-20 years and we are at Tulsa University. Hubs employer, the boys Alma Mater and we are at all of the football and Basketball games. Same seats for years. Once again you watch as people change and kids grow. Love it
Lance has a house near TU now, so tailgate at his house starts today.
So what else is there to do in the south on a sunny, Fall, Saturday?

This was our rustic cabin on Lake Quniault. We were there for 2 days. hubs slept on the daybed. The bedroom had a full size bed and we kept hitting each other. Very rustic, but relaxing.

Sunset from the balcony of the deck where we are now.

You know how I am such a planner. I told hubs that when I retired, I would make up the difference in pay until the house is payed for.... Well, I can't function with sub jobs coming and going. I need to know that there is a certain amount of funds coming in each month, you know what I mean ...

Anyway, So I came across an opportunity to teach 2 year olds at a W/F pre school in Tulsa /Methodist Church. I took the job and start next week. What a difference in 2nd grade and 2 year olds. But I think I will really enjoy it.

It only 2 days per week and I can still work with BFF-Pam on T/Th at the catering business. Oh, I could do Monday with her too. Whatever!!!

I also got my first CASA case and go to court tomorrow to get the "paper stuff" saying I am working on the case.

I went by the school today and don't miss the hustle and bustle of getting ready for "back to school night" and tomorrow's first day!!! It was fun when I was there, but I am glad I'm not having to deal with parents and lesson plans.

Off to clean the pool, we had a lot of leaves blowing during a storm, yukko

Son #1 loves his job and ejoyd reading book transcripts for possible publishing and writing press releases.

Friday Facts

I am looking forward to CASA training to be over. Its been a very long month. I have one court day and short class, then I take the "oath".

Next week will be "clean the house" week. It's actually disgusting! I need to clean from the top to the bottom in all the rooms. Even the porch and back yard need tidying. I am generally on track getting summer things finished in order to go back to school. Not this year, yippee! I am really glad.

Ryan and I went to OKC to meet with the Estate Atty regarding Grammer.... Lots to decide when someone is 94 an ready to pass on to Heaven. I don't understand sometime the way life is, do you? My daddy died at 58 and missed so much life and Grammer is 94 and tired of living. hmmm, I guess I'll ask God someday.

Sunday I will be teaching the college class- Five Languages of Love. I have enjoyed working with them. These ore the kids we went with on mission trip years ago. They are great kiddos and have so much to offer the world.

Thats about all the facts I have for today. My list of things I want to do is getting longer. I must get back to letting my creative juices flow and get them back up on my website...

Have a great weekend

I cooked again last night... son 1 is back from vacay! hehehe, anyway we had coconut chicken. All I can say is YUMMYYYYYYYYYY!

I used chicken tenders and soaked them in:
1/2 can sweetened cond. milk
1/2 c OJ
1 egg,
then coat them in :
1 cup coconut
1 cup bread crumbs.
Fry those babies up in some peanut oil ( cause its better for out clogged arteries).
Then, mix 1/2 cup honey and orange marmalade for some dipping sauce.
Oh, heavenly days it was delicious!!!!!

Wen went to early Church today... yawn, then to SSchool, after that to my fav place for breakfast- Queenies in Utica, then back to Church to give blood, not me! Son 1 did. He is so good with those needle thingys.

Yesterday was crazy at Church. I had a wedding in the Chapel, There was a small funeral in the Columbarium, and play practice downstairs for BABA. whew, lots of people to corral!

A friend from High School- found on facebook met me after the wedding and we cought up on 30 years!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My that is a long, long time since I graduated from HS. Its soooooo Hot

Its so totally hot here in OK. The pool water was like bath water. I just did my water aerobics and floated a bit and then got out!
Not, thats not my pool, silly but I can dream OK???????

Pam and I went to Bville to take some catering deliveries. We ran by a few girly stores, both bought the same purse. Well, its was 50% off! come on , we couldn't afford NOT to get it. Anyway, where was I ... oh, we found the most wonderful place to eat. Ted and Lola's! DELICIOUS is all I have to say. Its on 2nd and something on the corner close to downtown. Just go down 2nd. Its on the north side at the corner. Any way.... I am getting lost in my memories of the food. Ok so we always check the desert menu before we order. Pam got a salad with those crunchy chow mien noodles and chicken. I got a salad with sugared pecans and feta cheese and raspberry vinaigrette! Now come the finale! Pam had a brownie and ice cream. Not a normal old everyday brownie, but a delicious warm, chocolate, smooth, cake like, yummy brownie. She ate almost all of it! I had (drum roll) bread pudding....... oh my it had a sauce with pecans and I can still taste the smooth sauce, with the ice cream and more candied pecans. Oh heavens, I must say it was an "experience", if you know what I mean! Yep, I ate almost all of it! oink, oink.

Then we went to Wally World- aka WalMart. We has stuffed bellies and were feeling a little spry and wondering why so many fluffy people were riding in those motor cart when they actually needed to get up off their tush and walk a bit. Now, I know some people need those motor carts, but really not as many of them as we saw. Its just pure lazy sometimes. I think Pam and I might go to Wally World in another town at midnight and ride those things just to see why they are always used! Note to family- we are kidding on the riding part!!!!

I cam home, went out to the pool, not the one above. My cute pool and floated and did my aerobics and watered the yard and looked at my pitiful garden that has burned up in the weather. sigh, sigh.

Its off to bed. Tomorrow is errand day, you know 1. pay bills 2. post office 3. Target 4. Reasors 5. nail/pedi 6. change the oil in the Jeep and then go to Tulsa to CASA mtg at 5:30. Oh, I need to help serve at the John 3:16 mission at 5:00. whew. that wont work, hubs will have to go alone on that one!

Tuesday tidbits

Lance finally got his brick. These are at University of Tulsa on the walk into the Reynold's Center. Both boys got one for graduation, Lance's got lost in the shuffle, but its now in the ground!
oops. Ryan's os a bit crooked, but turn your head, ok. Now you can see it.

This is a little shirt I made for myself. I ued scrap fabric that I had in the craft room, before I cut into the Amy Butler fabric I have on order and hopefully in the mail. Cute huh. But I hate, hate to wear a strapless bra. They are uncomfortable and yukko and believe me these girls need to be in a contraption of some type, you know the issue. Anyway I found an awesome bra on the internet and have it ordered too. Its like those bandeau bras we used to wear back in the ####'s.

This one is Laura's. Turn your head again. I put some tulle on the bottome of hers. I found this fabroc on the $2. table at Hobby Lobby yesterday. Isn't is cayyyyyyyute?
I knew you would like them.
I think I coud even make a mommy and me outfit. A shirt for mommy and a dress for a little girls. Wouldn't that be cute!!! I could do both of them for $40.00 So, if you are incline to need one, let me know. I have lots of fabric choices too.
Or if you just want one for yourself... its $25.00
I went to CASA training yesterday and I have it all month on MWF. in the afternoon.
So, today is ironing, tidy, and clean the pool day.

Happy Independence Day!

A Day for Celebration in America...

It's raining here in OK. So plans will go from swimming outside to sewing inside! I made brisket yesterday and yummo it was so delicious and just melted in your mouth. Add some sweet corn and sliced tomatoes and you are in food heaven!

I am making a cuuuuute little summer shirt for moi and also one for Son 2's sweetie L!

I might even make one for my niece in Houston. Lets see if she reads this and leaves a comment. If so, she gets on too, I can even make one for my sister if she read this too! hahaha, stay tuned.

In between sewing I need to go get some more chalkboard paint at Lowes. I love that stuff. I am painting the door in the craft room. I also will put a layer of magnetic paint .

Have a great relaxing day and enjoy the rain if its in your area. We always need rain, but maybe not today... :(
