HAPPY ANNIVERSARY RYAN AND KATY

Happy Anniversary to Ryan and Katy. Today is their 3rd Anniversary!
Aren't they just the cutest couple you have ever seen. You have to just love my grand dogs too! They are such a cute family. I miss them everyday . Enjoy your anniversary!!!!!!!
XOXOXO- Mom

I actually went to work in my classroom this afternoon. I accomplished quite a bit. But, I need to put in a couple more afternoons. I cleaned and arranged things. I need to finish that kind of stuff tomorrow morning, then get started on curriculum. Ill be ready by this time next week because, ready or not here they come.

I went to the Dr. this morning. My Doc changed all my meds and took blood. ouch! If you know me, thats a major activity. If I see a needle, bam, I am on the floor! So, with my eyes covered it was Ok. I didn't really even feel the needle. We will see what the results are, but I'm sure everything is spiffy. I need to slow down and get more rest. hahaha, right!
Better get to bed, I took a new muscle relaxer tonight, per Doctor RX and I do beleive that things is making me drowsy. Fibromyalgia is a strange little thing. You can go for months and be great then BAM, its back. Well, it will get better. I am going (I hope ) to get up at 6:30 every morning and get on the treadmill/eliptical. hmmmmmmmmmm, that might not last.

PGA Madness

Oh, my gosh! It was SOOOOO hot at the PGA.
We got there today at 11:00. We arrived at our shuttle location and rode the nice luxury bus with a/c. They let us off and we went to check in. We got our tickets and went to find out "spot" by the 12th green. So far so good. When we arrived at our designated spot, that I thought would be a concession for drinks... it was a huge tent, not any a/c. Still we were OK. We met Karla, "our friend who we did the volunteering for". Where was our apron and hat, they asked?? What apron and hat! Yes, we were to get one at the check in. Oops, they didn't tell us. We had to walk all the way back to the shuttle bus area and get an apron and hat. So, finally we got back to the 12th green area and we had about 10 minutes before our shift started at 1:00. Lunch was provided with our volunteering. Did I want a hot dog or a hot dog? Well, I don't eat hot dogs, so I got to have a hamburger. I ate 1/2 of the burger and gave the rest to LH, because I was already too hot to eat my lunch. I donned my apron, (not the hat) and went into the tent, not warm tent, hot as he** tent. LH and I were on the cash register, not much thinking, just punch the button that says hamburger, beer, pop, chips, etc. Oh, but by the way, we are out of all sandwiches except the hamburger and hot dog! I'm on my tip toes to see the register, so I give that position to my fellow volunteer friends! In the meantime, I am beginning to become very hot, I mean very hot. So, I went to sit outside a few minutes. My head hurts, stomach hurts and every inch of my body is extremely hot. Can you hear the word heat stroke coming on? Well, I being the "rebel" took off the hot full body apron and never put it back on. That was a bit better. I also found a good spot by LH where I could put my hand in the ice water buckets to retrieve beer, water, and other liquid items. Around 5:15 ish, LH realizes that we are to stay until 6:30! Our dear friend Karla sent us home at 5:15! Got to love her, she there all week. Did I see a golfer, beats me! I did see the 12 hole, port a potty, and that's about all. We got on the bus with that lovely a/c and went to the car. LH and I had plans to go eat supper, but the heat had been more than I could handle!!!! I got home, took a bath, drank some OJ, ate a banana and woke up when Lance called at 8:45 to see how the PGA was.
Lance wondered if we saw any golfers? Beats me. He is going this week when the tournament starts. He can't wait. I guess I just don't have that gene! So lets just say this was not one of the things I would do again.

Tiger, I hope you get a good rest tonight, drink lots of water and get an early tee time. Nope, we didn't see you, perhaps you saw me, the one in the white T and khaki shorts, oh, there were hundreds dressed like that, but I was the one with a face the color of Rudolph's nose.
But, in all seriousness. Be careful is you go out to the PGA this week and stop by the tent near the 12th hole and tell them hello for me.
They have lots to eat, well at least hamburgers and hot dogs!!!!

Quiet Weekend

Isn't this the most peaceful picture? No I'm not there in person... just in my dreams. The beach is my fav place to go in the spring or fall. I don't like the weather so hot that you are miserable, but warm enough to sit outside, read, drink a lemonade and read a book!
I had a wedding at BA all day Saturday. It was really beautiful and all went well. The reception was at the Church, which made it a long day. But, I feel better having my 1st wedding "under my belt". At least I feel more confident about taking over the job. I will really enjoy this. My niece had such a bad experience with the wedding coordinator at her wedding in OKC. She made the time so stressful. It took away a lot of excitement and joy. I want for the bride to have an enjoyable rehearsal and wedding, and to have all the things that are important to her, but within the rules of the Church.
LH went to a meeting at Southern Hills on Sat. We are volunteering at the PGA tomorrow. We had to take an online test about serving beer etc, then go to a training. He went for the both of us. It seemed to be a fiasco! I hope its better tomorrow. We will be there for the afternoon session. Maybe we will see a bit of the practice round before our shift. Well see. I am not much of a golfer. LH and the boys love to golf. I drive the cart.
Better get to bed. I am trying to manage my fibromyalgia and I am hoping that getting to bed before 11 ish will help. Off to the Dr. about new meds on Tuesday. Crazy stuff. most of the time I can self manage myself, but this summer its really out of control. If anyone has any ideas send them on to me.

Good Golly Miss Molly

Oh my heaven sake...
I just talked to my sister in Branson. You know the guy we found at TJMaxx and trained??? Well, he was to be back today to work his part time job!!! That little snot bucket did NOT even show up. He didnt even call! My sister called his cell # and left a message. No answer at all! No, he did not even call and tell her he wasn't coming in! He just didnt show up. Its a darn good thing I'm not closer to the TJMaxx Store. I would march myself right in there and open up a big can of whip ***!
If the job was too hard for him he should have said something before he left. Or, at least called and said, it's not what he was looking for.
So, she took care of the store alone. She said that she did OK. The people were never lined up, but just a steady flow of people. Most of then were very understanding when she told them her part time help didnt make it in.
Anyway I am just appauled by this whole mess. Didn't his mamma teach him better??

tootle loo,

ps, If you go to Branson, stop by TJ Maxx and ask for Clint, ask him if he forgot his manners!!!

I LOVE GLITTER

FUN, FUN, in the craft room today!!!

We all know how I like to drink lemonade and create in my craft (crap) room. Well, today was the day I just played in there. Glitter, glitter everywhere. Well, I did laundry, baked cookies and vac'd the carpets. But other than that... I did this.

I have been wanting to dabble a bit in collages. Now, this is not really a collage, but my rendition of one. Anyway, I made it for my friend Pam. She caters weddings, etc and make hands down the best cupcakes. I just love them. When she tries out new a new recipe she bring some to us. One year for my birthday she made the cutest 3 tiered birthday cake just for one---moi ate it all alone.

Anyway, I know my pic is not really great, but I cut the clothes from an old cookbook I got in Branson. The face of the angel/fairy, is a pic of her! The words say... the fancy cupcake angel. The silver item in the middle of the cross is an earring I got in Branson. It is from The Royal Navy. Its huge and heavy how could anyone wear it?, but it has my fav symbol on the very tip top, a CROWN!!!!She will just crack up laughing.

I know... my friend and I have the best time! Life is way too short to act like a lady all the time. You know way back when I was growing up, my mom sent me to "charm school". Actually, my sister and I both went. I somehow went 2 times!!! But I can be a very good lady when the situation call for it, but not always.

I better get back to cleaning, yuk. But I do love a fresh clean house that smell oh so scrumptious and clean.

tootle loo,

Prayers for this family

Oh my goodness, this precious little girl drown just the other day. How very sad to see a family go through such a sad terrible time. They need our prayers so very much. You can read about this family at http://www.hannahandlily.blogspot.com/ really puts your day in perspective.

Zip, zip,zip...

That was me today, zip, zip, zip all around the house.
I got so much accomplished today. I made the cutest banner for my class, a couple of signs- soooooo cute too, and some other stuff. I will take pic, (come on, I know you love to see them,) when I get my room finished. I must, must, must get most of it done in the next few days or I will lay in bed and stress about everything. Oh, I even put a roast/potatoes/carrots in the crock pot, mopped the floor, did laundry, and watched a bit of the cooking channel.

Then I went to BAUMC to meet with a bride/groom for their Dec wedding. It's the 29th, (my anniversary) ! Anyway, I met with them and got their ducks in a row, (we know how I like that) and they actually don't have anything planned, so it was a clean slate. They live in NY and will be back a week before the wedding. Thank goodness for email!!!!!

Then back home to eat and scan the web for reception venues in the Tulsa area. I need to get that list compiled and sent to a bride. We can have receptions at BA, but only cake, punch, nuts and mints. Thats what we had for mine, but that was 28 yrs ago and how weddings have changed. So, I better get this little blog finished and get busy. My relatives seem to really enjoy this little few minutes of reading pleasure each day.

Hugs and kisses to them all- my relatives ... you know you love it.
