Hubs and I went to stay with baby puppy Bama last night while the kids went to a Christmas party. I took my new camera and had various photo shoots...

Hi Its me Moey, you know the grand dog.... just wanted to wish you all a Merry Christmas... Can you believe I let Nieniep put this ribbon on me... she tricked me with cheese and put the ribbon on while I was eating... I hear there is another dog coming in to the family tomorrow... hmmmm hope she doesnt come live here cause I dont like to share my toys or space... I will put a pic of her up tomorrow. Her name is Bama and she is really little. She will live with Uncle Lance and Aunt Laura. thank goodness... got to go ... I think there might be something to bark at outside!

How stinkin cute are these shoes!  I just bought my first pair of Toms- white with silver, and I love them! Yep, I sure do. They are way comfortable.  Now wouldn't these be cute with a pair of boyfriend jeans rolled up- I already have the jeans.... so I am hoping that Santa put a pair of these size 7.5 under to tree for me...    I have been really good this year... I mean really good!  Dont let me down Santa!

Thankful for:

My great family: I could not have handled this past 2 weeks without my boys. They are both so wonderful and supportive and just took over everything  for Mike and I. What a blessing they are!  My extended family... momma, sister and aunt Tracy..all other family members too many to list!!!!

My friends- again they prayed for us daily.

My Church family- Boston Avenue Methodist Church- someone was there daily- Dr. Tankersley, prayers, food and phone calls.

Neighbors- watching the house and taking Moey out to potty

Staff at St John Tulsa- ver compassionate and always there for their patients and family

I am totally amazed at the progress of hubs. He had quad bypass on Thursday. He is up walking, all tubes, IV's are out and hes in the shower right now. We hope to go home tomorrow or Tuesday. he has not had a pain pill since yesterday afternoon... God is good and we feel his presence during this chapter in our life!

Quadruple Bypass

Good grief what a crazy week.
Hubs told me Friday am that he was having chest pains the past few weeks.... long story short we went to the doctor on Friday, cardiologist on Monday and scheduled an angiogram on Wednesday morning. I was thinking that we would have a couple of stints at the most, then home on Thursday afternoon.

Well, guess I was wrong. The doctor that did the angiogram came out yesterday and told me hubs needed open heart surgery---a couple bypasses! Ok we stayed in the hospital last night and the surgery was the morning.  Oops he had quadruple bypass this morning!!!!!! Bless his little heart! He is in ICU for 24 hours, and doing quite well.  I am home for the night  to get some quality sleep and then back in the am. He should be in a private room in the afternoon.  He will have a 5-7 day stay at St John... not the island!

Thanks to quick thinking and moving he didn't have any damage to his heart and will recover after a  couple of months.  WOW, how life can change in a flash.

God is good and has blessed us with a fabulous group of family and friends that have prayed consistently the past few days. God heard the prayers and hubs will be fine.  He was working with 60% of his heart. I guess when we look back we can see the decline in energy, etc.

Be sure to listen to your body and MEN- go to the doc when you feel bad.!!!
