Moey's new doggie-do!

Here is a picture of our sweet Moey...the granddog! Isn't she sooooo pretty.


Well, today I took her to Petsmart for a beauty day. I told the groomer to do all the things that Ryan has always had done and add a flea and tick shampoo. They asked about a trim... Ok, its really hot, so you all (groomers) know more about this than I do. right....







Ok... turn your head sideways, oops a little bit more , now look at my poor baby! She is hiding under the ottoman in the den and just looks at me like what have you done to me. Being the lovely 'queeniep', I call Petsmart and ask if this is a normal cut for a Sheltie! Sure it is. I asked for the manager, well, they call it a summer cut for a Sheltie. Good Gosh.
So they offered for me to bring her to the vet, whats a vet going to do, pull a button and make her hair grow. Can a dog be upset about their hair??? I dont know. I am just trying to be a good "queeniep". She is now sitting between my leg and the rocking chair. No barking, just looking at me with her poor pitiful eyes. I hope I have not destroyed her little ego??? Can you do that?

I am not really knowledgeable about dogs, but this is just weird.

Well, poo! the swelling is slowly leaving my foot and the pain is increasing. This morning I went to my trusty minor emergency in Owasso... Well, yes you have broken your ankle. I have a chip out of the ankle bone. So whats a girl to do, just sit and veg on the couch. Oh no, I have a wedding rehearsal tonight and a wedding tomorrow! This will be fun, especially the driving to Tulsa part. Yep its my right foot.

I need to keep the lovely boot on for 10 days and then go back to have more x-rays. Great job huh????? I wish they had this boot in a more summer color, but whatever.

Happy Birthday to Ryan

My sweet son is having a birthday today! Where have the last 26 years gone??? I always heard that the years go by so quickly, bam they sure do. It seems like yesterday I was in the hospital holding this tiny adorable little boy not really knowing what to do with him.
He has become the light of our lives. So methodical in all he does, caring for others, watching out for the "little guy". He is compassionate to old and young alike. Hubs and I are so very proud of the man he has become. He is so very intelligent. As he was growing up,I often wondered where he would come up with the questions he asked. He never liked recess, because he was wasting his "learning time". That certainly didn't come from me!!!! Anyway, Happy Birthday son #1 . You are an awesome man and we are so proud to call you our son!!

Please Pray

Sweet Mackenzie Sunday passed away last night. She was battling cancer that was just recently discovered. She had just returned from MD Anderson and was about to begin her regimen of meds.

Pray for her family and the town of Collinsville. Is seem just a few weeks ago the surrounding community- Owasso, lost another sweet little girl to a terrible illness as well. Its so hard for adults to understand the why's of the past months and I know these teens are having a more difficult time with their undertanding too.

May God bless this family and pour his peace upon their hearts and minds.

Oops, that hurt!.... July 4th with Moey

Hubs is building a fence around our property. So we have deep holes strategically placed for the 4X4 posts to go into. Anyway, I have been well versed in where they are located so as not to hurt myself. We have worked non stop the past 2 days. Today I was painting the patio furniture a beautiful cherry red. I was cleaning the patio and dumping the limbs and leaves in the pile in the alley. Oops one of the holes is covered with grass that needs mowed and i didn't know it was there. Yes, I could have counted the holes and realized there would be one in the area, but I didn't. So, I went in up to my knee. Our neighbor, a minister was outside as I was screaming naughty words. He went and got hubs and they got me inside. My ankle was already swollen before we got in the house. So I have called the Dr on call and iced it for the past 3 hours.
Its beginning to get better, but very sore. However we didn't not have to go to the hospital in dirty clothes.Yippee. We generally go to the ER in dirty outside clothes when I am involved.
Anyway i am on crutches, which is not good, because I keep tripping! heaven, what a mess.

Poor Moey spent the 4th if July on my lap with her nose snuggles in my neck. As long as I was holding her she didn't cry or bark. Lang night for both of us!

Happy 4th of July

Have a happy and safe 4th of July...

We are home and chillin. Hubs is working on the fence and I am painting the bedroom. It is the last thing to paint until I move on the the utility room arggghhhhh! I dont want to go in there. Too much stuff and too big! oh well!

We are off to watch the Tulsa fireworks unless we are lazy then just to Owasso.

Boys and BFF

My boys were at our house this weekend. They both hate to pose for a pic, but of course the "humored" momma. Aren't they the cuuuuutest 2 guys??? Well yes i do believe they are.

We now have Moey back at our house. She is learning the phrase "lay down" on her pallet. Today she crapped in the dinning room and it stunk the whole house, major stink. So, tomorrow we will begin "poop" training. We have already done the "potty" training. I have never poop trained a dog, only children. We will see how long it takes. I once heard 3 day. Anyone ever accomplished this??? How do you attempt this feat????



Monday night the Ya-Ya 's went out for ladies night at Melting Pot. These pic are from BFF Little Town Big Life, yep I stole them right up, anywho we were just about to chow down on the dessert portion of our night. Banana Foster chocolate dip !!!! yummy

This is the whole 'team'. We finally got all of us together. What fun we have. We laugh, cry, and snort through dinner. We had so much fun and look at us we all wore black and white!!! love my team ya-ya!

Isnt it great in the day and time to have a bunch of women that know you every secret and dreams and dont judge. We go WAY BACK and have helped each other through the ups and downs of raising children, marriage and general smut! I love em all.

PS thanks to S Riggs, I finished painting my classroom at school. Also my Principal resigned and they are scampering quickly to find a replacement, They have one in mind that would be WONDERFUL... Pray for C Hunt to get the JOB!!!!
