I have been looking around at little onesies for miss diva... yep, thats her blog name. so anyway miss diva can not have a normal little outfit, I have found all of these and will be working on them....

I got a call last week to go back to work at New Haven Day School. You know its my favorite place to spend my day. I work on M/W/F and love it. This year I have the little one... probably 18 mos to 2 yrs.... they are so funny! I am getting all my hugs and snuggles every week. So glad to be back.

WE had our first snow last night. just a smidgen on the grass and trees, but snow! Stay warm and enjoy the week.

my vacation at St. John

Ha ha ha...bet you think I was on an island basking in the sun..... nope in the hospital with IV's and blood sticks every 3 hours.... Wednesday I was headachey- is that a word? any way I was achey all over, had the runs and my heart was RACING. I felt like a brick was sitting on my chest. so I went to the Urgent Care and they sent me to ST. John Owasso ER. after being poked, hooked up and tested I was admitted. I ran a high fever through the night and was low in potassium and a high white count... 3 IV ,4 blood checks and a host of test I was released after 24 hrs and the diagnosis is viral infection.... Im to take it easy... Well.. I can do that for sure... Must say that St. John Owasso is fantastic. My nurse had only 2 other people to care for... I was catered to all the time... love that place... Kinda like a spa, but with needles....... maybe next time the beach!

This morning I woke in my comfy bed... love that down comforter, with my yummy pj's and got ready to go to the beauty shop to have my hair 'done'... cut and color. Then on to TJ Maxx and Pier 1 for a little Christmas shopping.
Yep, I am trying to stay on a budget this year. Anyhow...I read a short time ago about how a mom and dads gave their children 3 gifts, just like Jesus got.... hmmm 3 gifts. We had our tree loaded with ~~crap~~... I mean stuff for the boys. I will never regret the wonderful Christmas mornings we prepared for the boys, but heavens... our little cherubs never did without... Ok back to my heart!
So , today I spent $100 on my hair and about another $100. on some gifts. I ran by to get a drink for Sonic and came home to a warm home with carpet and running water and did the laundry, while watching TV and decorating the house for Thanksgiving...
Of course, its "Pay the bills day" too. Nope have not gotten it done, but I will. Ok, I regress! So I am making my way to the computer to begin that task of bill paying and I told myself I can read 2 blogs before I pay bills. hehehe.
I read Kelly's Korner and she is preparing to go on a trip with Compassion International... Your can read her blog here. www.kellyskorner.com... anyway I have read about Compassion Intl numerous time and today I decided that I... no we, - hubs and I will do without for 1 year to support a child. Seriously it cost $38.00 per month. Thats less than 1 night out for dinner!
Mike and I go on mission trips through our church. www.bostonavenue.org and I always feel for these people and leave a little bit of my heart there each trip. I love to go and serve them to comfort them and to work to make their life better. Isn't that what we should do every month... not just when we go on a trip.
Last year I bought my Mom and Rick a goat- through Heifer International. www.heiferinternational.com , The boys got bees and chickens too. These really didn't go to them but to those in need in Africa. Hopefully they-the animals are thriving today and helping the reciepeints to eat and thrive.
So this year instead of spending a lot on hubs and I....we will adopt a child from compassion and send a goat from Heifer Inter.
I have everything I need and want, well I would really like a kitchen, but seriously... I have a lovely big home that I often whine about.

So... here is the deal.... If you have $100 to spend on your hair, $50 to spend on nails, $40 to spend on supper. Your house is warm, kids are fed, your can snuggle in the covers tonight and watch TV, please think about sponsoring a child somewhere! In your town, in your state, in our country. I do know that these two charities are FOR REAL. The money goes where they say it goes. No problems with either of these places.

I you do sponsor a child or send a goat... please let me know and I will be sure to remember those that are receiving in my prayers too!

Ok, now I feel better... no the bills are not paid yet... better get to that, cause I have a girls night our at Wolfgang Puck's restaurant tonight......

Holiday checklist...

I am thinking about getting things done early for Christmas... seriously its just around the corner... I'm making most of the stuff.... I found a quiet book pattern that I need to get some more felt to start that. I will get going on the other things as well. I have a list and I'm ready to get it checked off soon. Still working on the smocked dress quilt.... I have all nine of the dresses smocked and ready to do the finish work. My mom did the quilt top so now its just doing the hand work. The quilt is white so I can take it with me ..... more later about that

I have planned to make about 6 of theses for friends...

This is the little t-shirt I'm working on right now for Payton and Charlie... They are about 6 mo apart. Charlie is Ryan's girlfriend's little girl... so adorable. Its funny M and R have know each other for about 10 yrs, but R and M's brother are best friends and they thought of each other as brother/sister friends... hmmmm now a romance! anyway, I will finish it this week and add their names to the bottom of the Turkey.

I decorated the house today. Its been so stinkin hot, I have not wantted to do any Fall stuff, but I got that done ... I always have a tree. I will take the eyeball ornaments off and add pumpkins for November.

I would love to do this for our backyard... hopefully after hubs gets the shed built we can do some landscaping...

Be careful in the sun... all those summers of being a 'sun goddess' are coming back to bite me in the buns! I had 3 small pre cancer thingy taken off today. Remember when we would put on baby oil and bake our bodies.... yep payback it horrible....

Hey, Its raining finally in Colliinsville! yippee, I didnt even mind running errands in the rain. We are way below where we need to be... so bring it on. And it actually cool today!!!! I have been on Pinterest lately and have FOUND a plethera of ideas... so here it goes....

Loved the movie The Help... Yes I have seen it 2 times and may take my bestie from Texas to it tomorrow... she is up for the ballgame too.... Love it

Well, I am still alive and kickin.. I have been subbing alot and also working at the consignment store... but I have a new friend that is taking way too much of my time... She is so addictive and controls my every minute. I really dont like needy friends, but she is so creative and has tons of ideas... she will become somewhat expensive... her name is Pintrest! Yep, Im hooked.......

So, I could truly camp in this... I am not a camper, but with just 2 people this could be cute... well it would have to have AC and only in the mountains in the coolness or the beach... what do you think? oh and a bathroom is a must... I might need a bigger one...

I am totally going to make this for somewhere in the house... I am thinkin about redoing Lances old room. He is married now and I dont think that it will be his again. wah wah... yes I love my boys and they are welcome anytime. but he live close enough that it can now become a neneP room... you know for grandbabies... no they are not pregnant... just working on it! But Im thinking ahead... Kinda like a scout... Be prepared...

Now this is soooooooooo stinkin cute... Payton may get one of these for her playhouse hides out soon... maybe for Christmas or her next birthday... I do have another little girl I m thinkin maybe will get it for Christmas... more on that at a later time in the future.... gotta you thinking huh!

Oh my my... its been a busy couple of weeks... i am doing some subbing at my old school and also the ECC-early childhood center... last week I subbed for the first 3 days... 19 in the am and 13 in the pm... they were cute and so eager to learn... next week I am already subbing on Tues/Wed...maybe/ and Friday!!!!

We had a great supper with at the kids on Friday night at Lances... yummy food and we played with Bama-the puppy and Ryan's girlfriend's daughter... she is 19 months and I am having a blast with her..... lets tallk spoiling her!

I have been learning how to coupon... arghhhh. I downloaded a book from Kindle... Krazy Coupon Lady... its informative and hopefully I can figure out how to do this stockpile stuff with can foods and non perishables... they even freeze milk when its on sale???? didnt know you could do that.

I had hubs cutting coupons and I am learning how to "stack" them... I will of course keep you psted on this adventure.... But I want a new kitchen and hubs says cash only... soI mut save every dollar for a while...

I think I will wait and go down to Houston/The Woodlands sometime in the winter for a week and play with her ! I'm greedy and dont want to share my nienie time!

what... not at Piggly Wiggly!

My boys favorite most delicious supper is fried chicken- white meat only in my house... mashed potatoes, gravy, rolls, sweet tea and OKRA... So today I went by Piggly Wiggly in Cville to grab the groceries...

I finished and could not find the frozen okra in the freezer container at the Piggly Wiggly... seriously a Piggly Wiggly without Okra...

That is a serious offense south of the mason/dixon line.... So I just marched myself right up to the manager of the Pig and asked where the okra was... He went directly to the freezer section and found the big ol bag of frozen okra... It was hidden., why would okra be hidden??? Whew!!!!! I thought there was going to be a serious problem if the Piggly Wiggly was out of Okra.... so the world is not coming to an end and the Piggly Wiggly is still alive and all is well with the earth!

I was having a very lazy hot afternoon in the sauna of Okla... anyway I went in the craft room and made a new yard flag for our front yard... I think I like it... BUT the next one I will make the same but put the letter on with applique...

These past few weeks have been sooooo hot... I dont do a whole lot of anything. I have worked at my fav place New Haven Day School as a sub... loving those babies, then at the consignment shop, then I had a stomach virus... but today its gone as I ate a HUGE lunch at Olive Garden after Church...

So glad I am retired... teachers are gearing up to go back to work/school. This would be my major whining day... the CPS teachers go back tomorrow... However I have been called to sub the first 3 days of school at the Pre K in Cville. That will be fun. Its so hot I wish they would wait until Sept 1 to go back to school... save a lot of money too. Can you imagine the elec bill for the school to run all the AC. whew!

Other than that all is well on the home front....

Its too darn hot here in Okla... seriously we have not had rain for weeks.. I am watering all the yard and plants... if they are annuals, they dont stand a chance. My garden is not producing this year... too stinkin hot... today is a cool day at 98... generally its been 101-107...

anyway I made this bird thingy above for our backyard birds... its easy peasy...
You need: birdseed - 4 cups. clear caro, flour, water and plain gelatin...
mix 1 pkg gelatin with 1/2 c, warm water, then add 3/4 c flour, 3T corn syrup and mix that up ... it looks like that old fashioned paste we used back in elementary school... so then add the bird seed. I used my pastry blender to mix it all up.... then spray a bunt pan and smush this stuff in the pan... let it sit till it hard. about 12 hours.
Turn it over, slap a bow and presto hang it up for the birds.....

ok seriously I dont feel like eating much and so I am really scaling back on carbs ... thats the only thing that sound good beside fruit. So I need to make 6-8 lbs vanish, tootle loo, be gone! I am going to follow this blog link up on facebook and do it to it... I have a virtual gym at my house... do I use it no! we have a treadmill, elliptical, inversions table, weights and all sort of work out videos, even a wii! So I shall get up off my hot butt and get busy.... My reward will be a trip to the my favorite store right here in Cville. Gypsy Rose.. you can find it on facebook too... I will give myself $10 for every pound.....

My sister bought a quilt kit for Payton... my mom was going to make it... so, mom looked at it and now I have it... I have not smocked for at least 25 yrs... arghh. I have ripped out the same row about 10 times just this evening.... I found a place to go in Sand Spring to maybe take lessons.... I hope Payton keeps this quilt FOREVER!!!

There are nine... yes nine of different types of little dresses. then you sew them together and sew them onto the quilt pieces, then do the embroidery on the quilt pieces... I stuck myself last nigh... blood on the pink dress already....

this will be a challenge!!!

What he is... He is an ambitious, family oriented, 29 year old all-American good guy. He graduated from the University of Tulsa in 2004 with a double major in Marketing and Management. He worked in the corporate grind for a while and then decided to leave the desk behind for a bit. He is an air monitor for a Tulsa based company because the hours are flexible, he gets to see new places, and the pay is good. He was a typical fraterity guy in college who has mellowed with age but can still have a good time. From the PAC (Performing Arts Center) to PBR (Pabst Blue Ribbon), he knows how to treat a girl to a good time and still be a gentleman. You can find him in shorts and a t-shirt, or a suit and tie - but it doesn't really matter to him - he knows when to clean up and when to dress down. He is a catch ladies...pure and simple.

Hubs and I neither one have living Dads. My dad died from pancreatic cancer in 1988. Hubs dad died in 2000. So at our house we will celebrate hubs! This picture was right after his quadruple bypass last fall... he looks better now!

Anyway tomorrow we will celebrate with Church, then lunch. What are we having you ask?

Its been a good week at the ole house till today when I have dribbled paint from a container with a hole in it all the way down the bedroom hallway... but whatever... I have cleaned with oxi-clean and other stuff... still there.. last week was crazy.
I had a migraine for 2 days and finally got a shot... but this week is looking better. hubs and i have date night tomorrow at the PAC for 9 to 5.

So, if you wonder where I am this week, I will be here sitting by the pool, drinking lemonade and reading a book... seriously in my dreams only...

I did have a birthday on Friday... my momma sent beautiful pink flowers and I don't have a pic on this computer... lazy i know , but here is a crown.. I am not 54 not too bad!

These bloomed last year in my yard.. some reason there are not there this year? Maybe next year.. the garden is producing a bit. The rabbits are eating the lettuce faster than I can grow it. arghhhhh

I saw some adorable silver sea shells on either Pottery Barn or some other Home Decor place... BUT they were outrageous... Seriously. So I went to Hobby Lobby my fav store and made my own... I actually had the pictures in order then changed them while they were downloading. So they are backwards. But here the deal...

Get a glass container... Goodwill for $5.00

Spray paint from Hobby Lobby- make sure its the chrome kind!

spray both sides of the shell, I used my old cookie sheet that I have for crafts

Yes, those are my feet sitting so pretty on the edge of my suite while I was cruising on the sea! yes, that's from last Oct... I am pretending its today...

Yes, that's my room I shared with my BFF Tracy... I pretending I am sleeping there tonight, with the door open and the ocean sound coming all night long....

I am going to work on some silhouette things this afternoon after I finish my chores....

Oh, I want the garage to look like this... right???/??? Don't see it happening this week.....

So, I guess I will clean the craft room, go by the library, find some patterns of the states and begin on a quilt of states... mom gave me left over quilt fabric, so now its up to moi to get'r done!

strawberry jam...

Mash about 4 cups of strawberries to make 2 cups of mashed strawberries

Add 4 cups of sugar and let it set for 10 minutes

stir it up really good !!!!

mix the pectin in a pan... yes its too big and I need new pans...

pour the pectin in to the mashed strawberries and let it set for 3 minutes

Pour the strawberry jam in to freezer containers and let it set on the counter for 24 hours... then

put it in the freezer.... warning... hubs will eat one of these in a week!!!!

Lance and Laura baby dog Bama is very sick.. She was born in December and has been great until Monday ... they took her to the vet and she has underdeveloped kidneys... they went to Ok State Univ Vet School yesterday for more testing and an ultrasound and yes, same diagnosis... so she is beginning a new diet and the prognosis is not good... prayers for them.

opps this is sideways and I cant rotate it right now... but this was a special present from Ryan for momma. Lance and Laura got me 2 beautiful necklaces and Ryan already got me a book I wanted so this was very unexpected...

Other than that we are just tootle'n along in life. I am working 2 days a week at Bloomingdeals Consignment Store in Owasso, Ok . Love interacting with people. I am finding that sometimes they just need to visit with someone. I believe this is a bit of a ministry for me. I am blessed as well by them... God works in mysterious ways.

My mom gets back from England and Scotland today. I am excited to hear about her trip.

Time to water the yard... I promise to post more often... been really lazy

No I have not disappeared from the face of the earth... Just tired and didn't have much to say!

Anyhow back to the family.

this is son #1 and his girlfriend Sarah. Well, he has a new job... Sheehan Enterprises. He is doing air monitoring as a subcontractor... but he had to have a chest x ray last Monday. All was not well with that, as he had a spot on his lung near the spine. Being the spastic mother.. my mind went crazy as did my whole being. But he had a CT Scan Friday and all is well. He has a 'normal vascular anomaly' huh, that's what I said too. Translation: he is weird but normal. whew! Thanks God for normal abnormal kids .

Next week is Easter. when do you stop making Easter Baskets for the children. Yes, I still make them for the boys and their sweet wives/girlfriends! I know, I know its time to give it up... the boys are 27 and 28! seriously... but next week we will have Easter baskets and a 'money loaded' Easter egg hunt... Help am I a crazy momma?????

So, Have you bought groceries lately? Gee.. I went for my normal shopping trip... $400. for groceries. WE are planting the garden I tell you. Its horrible.

Last night we went to the final performance for the TU School of Drama and Theater... it was at the Joint that's in the casino! So hubs and I played the slots... I spent a whopping $6.00 and lost it ... hubs spent $8.00 and lost it! Then this morning in Sunday School we only had bigs bills for offering. Well, if that's not an old kick in the hiney ... a fool and his money are easily parted and they you need to pay big to God the next day. hehehe. I didn't even have 50cents for the Upper Room! But the performance was wonderful.... they sell season tickets each year and they are great. What a wonderful way to introduce the performing arts to your kids and the tickets are very reasonable.. see ya there next year. They are usually at TU.

See this house.... Yep, I want to sell my house and build one just like it on the ten acres -family land we have north of town. The boys want to build there too. I have a little place picked out right by the pond. I wont bother them at ALL, and the babies can just run over for ice cream and fun and nini's house. Oh wait I don't have grand babies yet. Spring is here and spring break is over for the 'school' clan. I always want to go somewhere like we used to during spring break,. but in the past 9 months, I have been to Nicaragua, cruise to Mexico, New York City and to Houston . So my traveling is over for a long while.... nevertheless, Ryan had been working on projects at our house... pics tomorrow... The picture above is what I am going to do to the cabinets by the sink.... shhhhhh dont tell hubs. he will just come home from work and it will be all done.

I am in a wonderful Bible Study on Friday. We are studying the Book of John. Its really good. My Bible is old... you know the paper thin KJ version. So I bought this Wesley Study Bible the other day.... great purchase...

Now just inn case you want me to go on a trip for spring... please send the appropriate funds, I would love to be strolling this street. its in Paris by the way, I would like to stay near the Eiffel Tower and spend about 7-10 days there. I would like to have a vehicle available to take me everywhere and especially to the flea markets. so whose up for this?????

Yep. those light greeted me this afternoon... I needed to return a punch bowl thingy I borrowed from by BFF Pam. She has a catering business. I parked behind her car cause there were not any places to park... I left my flasher on and ran in with the bowl... I as there maybe 20 seconds and got an $85.00 ticket! Seriously...
I understand that this particular officer has given tickets to the UPS man too. Seriously I could have bought a really cute outfit. I hope they use my $85.00 to buy something really cute in place of my outfit.

So, this is what happened... I went to the dentist the other day... it was just for cleaning, but I was really good and when I was little my momma would buy me a present if I didnt bite the dentist and be really good. So I of course carry on that tradition. I mean really why stop now. So I wanted a few Aveda products. I got to the Mall- have not been there for months. I went to the Aveda store and that's where it all happened. I got : bath gel, bath scrub, bath lotion... shampoo- this big size, conditioner, styling goo stuff... I got facial cleaner, toner,moisturizer and scrub... that's when the worst thing of all happened.... the register tallied up my sale. Heavenly days! glory be, holy crap... But at least I will look good, smell pretty and be organic. hmmm.
We wont need to eat this month... right.

So, If you see me... tell me how nice I smell and how pretty my hair is and how lovely my skin looks, come on now,,, it will only be a little white story and it will help me when I get hungry this month.... Oh yea, we wont share this with hubs... Okey dokey.

I think I will make one for the store- you know Bloomingdeals... not my store, but sorta like my store, I get to do the artistic stuff and I don't have to make the payroll or do business junk... just play. But back to the light .It need a couple of these for the window . So stinkin cute... my silhouette can handle this ...

The weather hers is crazy. I went in to Home Depot to get some outside lights. The temp on the car was 62. I came out 5 minutes later and the temp was 48. Gotta love Oklahoma...

I made a smilebox of some of my favorite photos. Im still learning with the camera, but I am getting there. I didnt take as many pics as I thought I would because It was raining or yukky almost all the time. But we had a great time and just trudged on through the mud and snow.

I had just the best weekend! My friend Tracy-from Texas, yo know the one I went on my cruise with... yes that one. She came to Cville for Lance and Laura's wedding shower. We had such fun. We got lost on the way, lost on the way back and even accidentally ran a red almost green light. whew ...cant go anywhere.

The shower was for my son Lance and his bride Laura. They got lots of fun exciting gifts. The food was great, cake was the bomb- but Ii just love white wedding cake and we laughed till our tummy's hurt!

Only a week and a half then I get to go to NYC. I am so excited.

Just thought this was so me when I was little. I had a permanent spot at my great grandma's house for my nose. Guess you could say I was a rebel back then.

Time for this Nanny to go home.... (sad Nanny). I have been here for a week and we are working on a schedule. Nanny 1- (my sister-Mimi) will stay for 2 more weeks. I have lots to do when I get home. Plans for the wedding rehearsal, a wedding shower this weekend and then I leave again for NYC on Feb 3-7. I hope the weather in NYC clears up a bit before I get there.

My best friend is coming for the shower from Dallas... the one that went on the cruise with me. Whew, what a traveling last 6 mos. Got to slow down after the wedding in Feb and enjoy the spring that will soon be here.

I have been scanning kitchen idea books.... I think this is the one I like best. Its also the one hubs llikes the best... less work for him and Lowe's.. hopefully thats what we will do this summer.

I am beginning to make a to do list for this year. I wonder if my list and hubs list will match at all????

I would like to hire someone to come in to my house and take everything off the walls and while I am gone... poof put stuff back in new places... do the furnitire too!!!! I don't want to buy new stuff, just move the stuff around... but with a new prespective. Is there anyone that does that sort of thing? hmmmm

I am off to Houston to play with Payton next week and then of to NYC with girlfriends for fun... then Lance and Laura's wedding after that... oops all that will happen before the end of February.....

OMG I am going to NYC in February... lets call it part of my Christmas.... I am going with a couple of girls from my Sunday School class at BA.... It will be so much fun.... I have been at the NYC airport various time but never in the city!!!! Its one of the things I have always wanted to do, but nobody would go with me.

My great family: I could not have handled this past 2 weeks without my boys. They are both so wonderful and supportive and just took over everything for Mike and I. What a blessing they are! My extended family... momma, sister and aunt Tracy..all other family members too many to list!!!!

My friends- again they prayed for us daily.

My Church family- Boston Avenue Methodist Church- someone was there daily- Dr. Tankersley, prayers, food and phone calls.

Neighbors- watching the house and taking Moey out to potty

Staff at St John Tulsa- ver compassionate and always there for their patients and family

I am totally amazed at the progress of hubs. He had quad bypass on Thursday. He is up walking, all tubes, IV's are out and hes in the shower right now. We hope to go home tomorrow or Tuesday. he has not had a pain pill since yesterday afternoon... God is good and we feel his presence during this chapter in our life!

Quadruple Bypass

Good grief what a crazy week.
Hubs told me Friday am that he was having chest pains the past few weeks.... long story short we went to the doctor on Friday, cardiologist on Monday and scheduled an angiogram on Wednesday morning. I was thinking that we would have a couple of stints at the most, then home on Thursday afternoon.

Well, guess I was wrong. The doctor that did the angiogram came out yesterday and told me hubs needed open heart surgery---a couple bypasses! Ok we stayed in the hospital last night and the surgery was the morning. Oops he had quadruple bypass this morning!!!!!! Bless his little heart! He is in ICU for 24 hours, and doing quite well. I am home for the night to get some quality sleep and then back in the am. He should be in a private room in the afternoon. He will have a 5-7 day stay at St John... not the island!

Thanks to quick thinking and moving he didn't have any damage to his heart and will recover after a couple of months. WOW, how life can change in a flash.

God is good and has blessed us with a fabulous group of family and friends that have prayed consistently the past few days. God heard the prayers and hubs will be fine. He was working with 60% of his heart. I guess when we look back we can see the decline in energy, etc.

Be sure to listen to your body and MEN- go to the doc when you feel bad.!!!

I dont even want to look at my list of fall things to do... cause I have ~~not had time~~, I mean I just have not dont most of them...

So I went to the Dr. last week still trying to play with my fibro ~~crap,~~ I mean syndrome... She prescribed Neurotin... sound like neurotic to me and change me to Lexapro... Then at the store a lady came in and we are talking about

my ~~menagerie,~~ I mean drugs, she suggested I take these vitamins first... She has chronic pain and they have helped her.... so I ordered them last night. We will see. I didnt start the new drugs till later and the reason being is....

So our bags are pack and we are ready to leave for Nicaragua. we will be gone for a week doing mission work for our Church- Boston Avenue Methodist Church... follow on our blog- http://www.bostonavenuemissiontrip2010.blogspot.com/

I have had my typhoid shot, I have started my malaria meds and I think I am somewhat packed and ready. We will work on a Methodist Church in Masaya and also have Bible School for 80, yes 80 kids.... whew!

then...... I am going on a cruise with my BFF Tracy. We went to Ok State together back in the day... not tell the actual date, but anyway she has beaten cancer for the 3rd time... she just finished her radiation and we are celebrating... so we will be cruising to Yucatan, Cozumel, a couple of days at sea and lots of laughs and fun!

Arent they adorable... well I just had to finish with that little bit of cuteness. Yep, thats son 1 and his girlfriend Sarah... they will hold down the for while I am gone...

Dont feel bad for hubs... while I am on the cruise and and son 2 will be going to the TU/Notre Dame game in Illinois... I didnt want to go, cause we were not staying in Chicago! oh well, that why I have not gotten anything done around here....

I have learned how to use the silhouette machine and have made lost of vinyl stuff and I have mad 1 of the diaper covers... :(

7. recover some old chairs I have had for 25 years. just bought fabric... call old script, oh, paint the chairs white too
8. re organize L's closet, well it hasn't been his for years and never will be again :(

What a great day! Lunch with Ryan and Sarah at White Owl... Lance and Laura found a house and Kristyn is busy delivering baby Payton Grace... A friend of my brother in law flew my sister to Houston/Conroe this afternoon....

Now if the pesty migraine that is living in my head for the past 4 days would scoot.... I would be glad...

Prayers for my BFF in McKinney.... we went to OSU together and had a blast. She had beat breast cancer, it came back and went to her spine... beat that and bow its in her neck... we are thinkin 3rd times a charm.. prayers would be wonderful.... Tracy you will beat it again!

So in a few weeks hubs and I are going to Nicaragua, for a mission trip.... No robber, someone will be staying at our house.... you cannot come it to snitch some thingy! Anyway since that is all straight...

I would like to blog each day so that people/family/friends/ Boston Avenue members can read about our travels.... BUT, do I need a whole blog itself for only 1 week, or do I dare give my sweet little innocent blog address to the whole entire Church family.... Payton Grace told me yesterday that she really doesnt want to wear one of those white diapers without a cute little diaper cover.... you know...we always have to be cute even when we are a newborn.... so Nie nie P to the rescue... yep I cut out 5 little 0-3 m diaper covers....

I have an issue with cash registers.... when I worked with my sister we never balanced...no not ever in the 10 weeks I was there..... well, same story at the consignment store.... I was really really really careful today, but my day started with forgetting the money bag and having to go back and get it........ arghhhhhh!

Allergies are kickin my "popo". I detest them....

Lookin for a new hair style.... think about going really short... just thinkin

I was looking around on the internet for a cute dress for Ashley to wear in L & L's wedding. She is going to be the flower girl.... anyway their colors are black, white a kinda limey green.... I went by Kathleen Kids today and saw some basic white ones... very pretty However I think theses would be cute too! except a green sash with maybe a little flower bud on it.... black shoes and a little sweater!

I made a bunch of jewelry for Bloomingdeals this weekend. I took old brooches and made them into rings... I forgot to take pictures... i will do that tomorrow.

Now I just finished eating 5 oreos! yummy I could eat the entire sleeve at one setting.... love em.

oh where have I been you ask... so maybe your dont ask,,,, I went with my mom and sister to Houston to prepare my niece's new baby nursery.. it took all of you .... yep, they had a shower too! these are just the blankets and doo-dahs...

So I work a couple of day per wk at a store in Owasso, Ok... its a consignment store with my bff Laura. we have such fun..... both of us crazy ole teachers trying to stay out of trouble....

so thats where i have been the past 3 weeks.... home until october then off to Nicaguara for a mission trip.... the Hawaii trip ..... hmmmmm. son 2 and daughter in law to be decided to get married here in Tulsa ok. yippee. so no hawaii trip for the whole entire fam damily! you know what i'm talking about.... they will go to Kauai for theri honeymoon....

This rose is gorgeous! don't you just love the beautiful colors... its so darn hot in Ok., that the roses are kaput! hot dry nothings that is... so i am enjoy them on the computer... smell really close... oh its sweet...

look at this adorable camper... it could belong to my sister.... her name is Connie... not Constance. It would be fun for a girls night out.

We could eat under this lovely tent and drink lemon drop martini's until we drop and of course the ocean would be right nest to the camper... oh I must quit dreaming like this... it leads to depression!

I am off to Houston to see my niece.. .. and enjoy a baby shower for Payton Grace.... she is such a diva and not even born yet...

I had the second sleep study last night... i took ambien... its not my friend!!! I cant remember driving home at 5:00 this morning... i went back to bed and slept till 10:45! ran errands and sleep till 4:00. I am getting packed and off to bed in just a few...

tomorrow is my last day at New Haven :( I will really miss that pre school. I hope to be able to sub a few days next year!

Oh, I got an iPhone today... how much fun is it... i feel like i have moved into another realm of the world...

better go to bed and sleep off the ambien from last night...

No pictures today...
I just got back from a whirlwind trip to OKC... yep Grammer is on 24 hr Hospice again. She is slowly dying and I just dont like how this all has to happen.... its her worse nightmare... she always wanted to go quickly and NEVER linger and linger... thats just what is happening.... linger, dementia, linger....

She is such a fighter... she is cantankerous, ornery, hard headed and stubborn... guess she will be this way to the end...

Saturday I was singing hymns to her in her room, passing the time... I asked her today if she wanted me to sing... she hadnt uttered a word but very clearly said... NO! how funny! no more singing from me!

Hospice said it would be a long week , but her body is shutting down and must go through different steps to get there...

Every year for Ryans birthday I get him peti-fores from Merritts... I went by today to get them! Merritts is closed until Monday... how can this happen... the boy will have a birthday without Merritts... do they know what is happening here?? What ever will I do???? sleep study...

Tuesday evening I went for a sleep study..... I took my bubble bath threw on some clothes, packed my bag and off I went. I got there at 9:15... filled out ...yes 15 pgs of information for the study... changed clothes to my jammies and waited to be fitted with the wires... it was storming outside and I was praying that the lightening would not strike or I would fry!

This is not my contraption.. but just like it. They hooked me up top to bottom and gave me the TV and ceiling fan remote and said to sleep tight... after a few test runs.
1. move my eyes
2. open and shut my eyes
3. move your legs etc... the night began...

This is what i looked like- no, not me in the pic. Cause I couldnt roll over like that! nope I was connected form everywhere and tried to get comfy... I took my muscle relaxer and demanded my body to sleep... nope it wasnt going to happen. I woke up all night long. Finally at 4:30 guess who has to tinkle.... yep... unhook 3 big thingy and carry all that crap down the hall to the potty... back to bed and finish the study... cant sleep.... 5:00- times ...go home.

I dont for the life of me know how you are to sleep there. They told me if they saw that I had sleep apnea they would put me on oxygen and see if I did better... no oxygen, so I guess I have something else.... who know... but the new Dr. now has the blood work-normal, sleep study- probably abnormal and now can decide what to do with my weird body... hopefully no more sleep studies!

Sometimes I think I live in lala land... or maybe I am getting old and senile... or maybe just old and dumb.... or maybe....

anyway... yesterdays post.... I put that the person I though would email/contact me back would be... my dad. oops he died in 1988 that in itself would be a miracle...

Today the cleaning girl came to clean the ole house... she had come by once to look it over and give me an estimate... 4 hours she said... Oh, ok I said... today she tells me that it will take maybe longer... it took 6!!!!!!! holy moly... but the house is clean from top to bottom and in between.... Its a big house... 2600 sq ft, but lordy me.... however even the washer and dryer and the craft room and the pantry are clean and she did the laundry too! So... am I not seeing the dirt/dog hair/whatever... or have I not cleaned really good in FOREVER... geeze.... it reminds me of old ladies that have permanent stains on their clothes cause they cant see the spills on their shirts. How embarrassing!!!!! AND she cleans my mother in laws house too.... she will probably tell her that her son lives in squalor!!!!! geezeeeeeeeeeeeee louiseeeeeeeeeeee. I am embarrassed!

Its getting hot in Cville, Ok... hubs is ready to go on a vacation... SWA had a birthday bash today with unbelievable prices! Round trip to Denver for both of us $330! OMG we are going
We will stay at the Rapids Lodge/Cabin. They have the best food and its right by the river...

This is the town... boardwalks, and you can walk everywhere. I love it. It had a repertory theater, lot to do and just relax. We will spend some time in the Rocky Mnt Forest and just chill!

This is the cabin I hope to secure tomorrow. Wish me luck.......

Rainy days always make me online shop... today it was for Payton Grace! Yep, she will be my great niece, but her momma- my niece is more like me, than her momma- my sister, so I guess Payton Grace is really more like mine! hehehehe love how I made that right up

Anyhow LOOK at all this baby bling things! Kristyn- Payton's momma is not, I repeat NOT blingy, neither is my sister... but hold on .... Nienie P- that me.... oh honey I am all about blingy! So Payton Grace will have bling! I mean she lives in Texas... she must have bling!

Good Lordy, those little pink tenny shoes are $96.00. hold on... can I make them????? and that baby wipe case is a bit over the top even for me!

Look at these. they are ADORABLE! I mean it girls! I love them something fierce. But, I already have spent soooooooooooo much on Payton and she isnt even born yet. oh heavens. I haven't even ordered her Tiffany's gift yet!

Now, what little girl wouldn't like a pink poodle in her room. Payton's daddy... would crap in his wranglers if I sent this! He is a cowboy and would rather she have a horse in her room.... watch out... Christmas is coming Nolan!!!! hehehehe!

Now the Nienie P name.... Shayne, Kristyn's brother used to call me Aunt TT. Well, we all know in Texas that TT mean pee, pee! I can't be aunt TT/pee pee! So going with Queenie P I will be Nieie P... you get it dont you? I knew you would.

Off to get ready to go to OK Mozart. Its suppose to be at Woolaroc- Bville, outside. Its been raining her for days, so now its inside! Thanks you God.... I hate sitting outdoors with mosquitoes and portable toilets.
